Open Mic Wednesday
Yep. It’s the middle of the week already.
Governor’s School is going well. I’ll try to write more about that later but it’s basically the best summer job I’ve ever had.
On the other hand, my other summer jobs have included selling fireworks, hanging drywall and working in restaurants.

Open Mic Wednesday
Welcome to the middle of your week.
Since I’m all about small accomplishments, I’m proud to report that I’ve been in my dorm room at Hendrix for almost a full day and I haven’t locked myself out yet.
Let’s plug this thing in and see if it works.

Perhaps you’ve got something other than the election on your mind today.
I do but I don’t have time to write about it just now.
It concerns the raccoons. They’re back… and this time, it’s personal.

Open Mic Wednesday
Intersessions are fun to teach but hectic, particularly with a morning (8:00) class.
Once I hit campus, I’m basically in the classroom for 4 hours straight.

Open Mic Wednesday
Otherwise known as the mid-week spin room.
I may post something a little more substantial later today but right now I’m enjoying my breakfast: a big bowl of Lucky Charms and a cappuccino.
A.k.a. “The Breakfast of Irish-Italian Champions”.
Before you judge my nutritional decisions, I should mention that I biked 26 miles this morning, kids.
And I never [...]

Open Mic Wednesday
It’s finally starting to look like spring in Searcy.
The dogwoods and azaleas are in full bloom and I think the raccoons have started up the buffet line at my garbage cans again.
Eric and I biked down to the Little Red at Riverside Park this morning. The river’s down a little but the bad news [...]

Open Mic Wednesday
I’m going to be pretty busy today packing and getting a couple of exams ready.
My IR class has an test on liberal-idealism and international conflict on Friday.
One of the things they’ll need to remember is that both the Liberal International Economic Order (LIEO) and the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty are examples of international regimes.
A few of [...]

Open Mic Wednesday
Step right up.
No shoes, no shirt, no problem.
It’s a blog.
