I’ve been teaching political science at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas since 1987.

I went to college at David Lipscomb University (1984) and Vanderbilt (1994) in Nashville but I grew up in New Castle, Delaware.

Between high school and college, I was in the Navy (1976-1980). I am largely responsible for ending the Cold War.

I teach intro and upper-level political science courses and I specialize in international relations, political theory, and comparative politics.

I am also an instructor in at Arkansas Governor’s School and Harding University’s Honors Symposium during the summer months.

My wife (Tish) works as a cashier part-time and my son (Alan) is a history major at Harding.
