This Week’s Sign of the Impending Apocalypse (#132)

A Japanese lingerie company has manufactured a solar-powered bra.
The “Photovoltaic-Powered Bra” comes with a detachable solar panel that can produce enough energy to power an iPod or mobile phone. It is also environmentally-friendly and made of high quality organic cotton.
Unfortunately, the bra is still in the concept stage and has two drawbacks: it’s not waterproof and it’s ineffective unless worn as outerwear.
It comes in sizes 10 gb-150 gb.

Unfortunately…it’s ineffective unless worn as outerwear.

Those sizes look really weird to me, but I must not be thinking metrically. I still don’t see anyone around here who would give up that much tan to power their iPod. But hey, I found an international bra size converter. That has to come in handy.

From the article: “Triumph is developing a reputation for innovative, eco-friendly lingerie. It has previously released a bra than can be turned into a reusable shopping bag, and a bra designed to encourage the use of reusable chopsticks.”
I’m really skeptical of the need for an eco-friendly lingerie industry…

I don’t get the problem here. Everyone likes comfortable undergarments, eco-friendly is sooooo hot right now. And averyone loves ipods. This is completely logical.

lwheaton — That’s exactly why I’ve come to love pizza smoothies. I love pizza and I love smoothies, so why not stick pizza in a blender and drink it?
